Emmett Hatch

July 10, 1933 — February 25, 2023

Emmett Lee Hatch was born in Old Glory, Texas and came to New Mexico as a small child. While attending Roswell Junior High School, he met Jeanette Thompson, who would be his girl for the next 60 years.

Emmett was a Marine and served in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Marines as a Captain, then went on to start his own business, Hatch Insulation, where he was well known and respected in Southern California.

Emmett and Jeanette had three children: William, Pamela, and Katherine.

In 1989 Emmett and Jeanette returned to Ruidoso, New Mexico, and their beloved Sierra Blanca Mountains. They were active in the community serving the Optimist Club and Cree Meadows Country Club.

Emmett is preceded in death by his wife Jeanette and his son William.

Emmett is survived by his companion Wyonia Haragan, her two sons and families; sister Debra Label and her family; daughters Pamela Kottler and husband Daniel of Milton, FL; Katherine Hatch and wife Ashlee Moses of Portland, OR; grandchildren Jessica Savoy of Pace, FL, Jordan Kottler of Pensacola, FL, Michelle Juarez of Corona, CA and Angela Hatch of Prescott, AZ., and their families; and six great grandchildren.
