William Cox

William Riley Cox was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Riley and Dorothy L. Tucker Cox, the oldest of three boys. Brothers Jack Leroy and James Edgar, who all preceded him in death as did his stepson David Sayers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and spent his professional life affiliated with the Land Title Insurance industry. He was a local business owner in Modesto, CA for the past 20 years and a member of the Baptist Church. He was an avid sportsman who loved playing baseball, fishing, hunting and playing golf and just being outdoors. More than anything, he loved being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Hallie step daughter, Cathey Latner of Modesto and stepson Robert Wileman of Ruidoso Downs grandchildren, Clayton Latner of T or C, NM, Cortney Latner of Modeso, CA, Jessica Sayers of Evansville, IN and Lesle White of Terre Haute, IN and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with burial at the Ruidoso Hondo Valley Cemetery.
