Will McBee Landrum passed away suddenly on January 27, 2025, in Alto, New Mexico.

McBee (known as Mac to most of his friends) was born in Jackson, Mississippi on August 9, 1951, to Alice May McBee Landrum and Roger Carlton Landrum. He grew up in Jackson and received his bachelor’s degree before moving to Texas to pursue a career in banking where he held the position of Senior Vice President at First City National Bank in Houston.

McBee avidly embraced two passions for most of his life: Playing golf with good friends regardless of weather conditions, and always with wagers in play. His second passion was for Ole Miss Football. 

McBee is survived by his wife, Susan Landrum of Alto, New Mexico; his daughter Jessica Landrum of Houston, Texas; his sister Alicia Stevenson and husband Tom of Belfast, Maine and The Villages, Florida; his brother Carlton Landrum and wife Dian of Peoria, Arizona; his sister Vardry Landrum of Ruidoso New Mexico; nephew Malcom Stevenson and wife Mary of New York City, New York; nephew Ansel Schulenberg and wife Liana of Houston, Texas; and nephew Joshua Schulenberg, his wife Meera and their children Dahlia and Wes; as well as many wonderful cousins in Mississippi and beyond.

McBee was “Pipa” to his many godchildren whom he adored and who survive him including Braden Alexander of New Braunfels, Texas; Addison Alexander of New Braunfels, Texas; Brianna Alexander of Euless, Texas; Taylor Pelle of New Braunfels, Texas; Zakary Pacheo of Pleasanton, Texas; and Nygil Setzer of New Braunfels, Texas.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
