Visitation for Wade Comanche, 41, of Mescalero will begin Sunday, Aug. 5, at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph's Mission at Mescalero where the prayer service will be at 6:00 PM. The funeral mass will be Monday, Aug. 6, at 10:00 AM also at St. Joseph's Mission with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Mr. Comanche passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, in Mescalero. He was born July 25, 1966 at Mescalero and had lived there all of his life. He had worked as a Mescalero Hotshot, at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, Ski Apache and in logging and was an artist. He was a good traditional story teller. He attended St. Joseph's Mission. He is survived by a daughter, R.J. Comanche; son, Waycey Comanche; sister, Josephine Guerrero; two brothers, Horace Comanche and Rex Comanche; aunts, Mable Blake, Clarice Rocha, Carrie Comanche, and Debra Sago; uncle, Clyde Sago and many nieces and nephews.
