Mary Virginia McNeill (Ginger), age 87, passed from this life to her heavenly home on December 19th.
She was born in Amarillo, TX, but moved to Clovis as a child and graduated from Clovis High School in 1954. She married Monty Jack McNeill in 1955. They have had a wonderful life together for 68 years living in Clovis until 2010 when they moved to Ruidoso to be close to family.
Ginger started singing in the church choir as a child. She had the most beautiful voice, singing solos for church, weddings, and funerals. She could sing "O Holy Night" like no one else. She was very active in her church, Christian Women's Club, as well as keeping books for their business. She loved traveling in their motorhome, painting, and home design.
She loved her family and friends immensely. She truly lived her Christian faith, and we know she is singing again in the Heavenly Choir.
Ginger is survived by her husband, Jack McNeill; daughter Linda Whitley and husband Mark; two grandsons Ryan Whitley (Caitlin) and Kamron Whitley (Ashley), as well as five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lobo and Mary Brown, and her sister Jo Ann O' Neal.
Per Ginger's wishes, a private family service has already taken place.
