Graveside service for Val Lucero, 68, of Alto will be Monday, October 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Ft. Stanton Cemetery at Ft. Stanton, NM.

Val passed away Sunday, October 16, at Alto. He was born February 1, 1948 at Santa Rita, NM to Julia and Felipe Lucero. He moved to Lincoln County in 2000 from Mesquite, TX.

He is survived by three sons, Donovan Lucero, John-Joseph Lucero and Timothy Lucero; an adoptive son, Kevin Lucero; 4 grandchildren; two brothers, David Lucero and Rueben Lucero; five sisters, Josie Chavez, Rosie Stapp, Gloria Cameron, Virginia Lucero and Anna Lucero.
