Tyler Trogdon Turner, age 71, met his Lord and Savior on October 24, 2020, in the comfort of his Alto home. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Patricia. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Robert Lee Turner and Cora Anne Trogdon Turner; previous wives Joe Dvorak Turner & Denna May King Turner and his beloved dog, Scout.

Tyler enjoyed telling stories of his life experiences with family and friends. His lifelong interest in the arts included Loris Marching Lions Drum and Bugle Corps (Loris, SC), which performed at Carnegie Hall in 1964. Tyler was a 1967 graduate of Massey Hill High School in Fayetteville, NC. He completed his first two years of college at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC and then was drafted by the US Air Force in the summer of 1969, serving as a reconnaissance photographer during the Vietnam War, and later as a recruiter for the USAF, serving in the USAF for 24 years during which he was the recipient of many medals including three Bronze service Stars. And a Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm. After retirement he continued his love of and skill as a photographer through the remainder of his life in his beloved New Mexico. Tyler was a supporter of the Spencer Theatre for The Performing Arts in Alto, NM.

He is also survived by his brother, Terry G. Turner (Diane) of Reidsville, NC; three sisters: Alyce T. Johnson (Kyle) of Hope Mills, NC; L'Vonne T. Parnell (Donnie) of Gibsonville, NC; and Miriam T. Tobias (Ron) of Boca Raton, FL; 5 nephews, 2 nieces, 6 great-nephews, and 5 great-nieces.

Funeral ceremony with military honors, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Fort Stanton State Veterans Cemetery, 1398 Hwy 220, Ft Stanton, NM.
