Trancito Polaco Jr.

Prayer vigil for Trancito Polaco Jr., 79, of Hondo will be Monday, March 11, at 6:00 PM in St. Judes Catholic Church at San Patricio where the funeral mass will be on Tuesday, March 12, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery.

Trancito passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Lubbock, TX. He was born February 16, 1934 at Artesia and had lived in Lincoln County all of his life. He had served the Army and was a retired school teacher having taught in the Hondo Schools for 24 years. He attended the Catholic Church. He married Ramona Salcido on November 3, 1956 at Carrizozo.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona children, Gabriel Polaco, Lucas Polaco, Ruben Polaco, Raul Polaco, Bernard Polaco, Eli Polaco and Isaac Polaco brothers and sisters, Virginia Robledo, Oliva Montalvo, Margaret Clavijo, Gilbert Polaco and Luis Polaco 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Polaco Miranda.
