Thomas Burgess

Thomas Burgess, 43 of Mescalero, passed away on January 22, 2013 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He was born on June 23, 1969 in Mescalero to Richard S. and Francine Kanseah Caje. He lived a lifetime in Mescalero and was a Wild land Firefighter for the BIA Forest Service and also worked at Ski Apache during winter. He was a loving father and a friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents a brother, Ivan Burgess and a sister, Stella Caje. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Burgess Jr., Damon Burgess, his daughter, Ivanna Burgess, his brothers, Richard Caje Jr., Fritz Burgess, Wilson Burgess, Joseph Caje, James Caje, and his sisters, Davina Caje, Amanda Caje and Anjelica Caje.

Rosary will be Friday, January 25, at 6PM in St. Joseph Apache Mission at Mescalero with the Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 26, at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Mission with burial to follow at Mescalero Cemetery
