Thelma Wilson

Thelma Victoria Wilson, 95, of Alto passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010. She was born August 31, 1914 at Ellinwood, Kansas to Dr. Joseph Raymond Zecha and Margaret Mary Frank.

She was the wife of three husbands, Hubert Nolen, John Lester and Richard Wilson and all have preceded her in death. She was the beloved mother and best friend of Milda Nolen Mason and her husband Troy Mason of Alto and the grandmother of Mark Lynn Mason and his wife Carol of Houston, Texas.

She was a retired insurance rater and writer. She is written in Ripleys Believe It or Not as having the longest correspondence with a pen pal, Isabel Burns Jean of Otisville, Michagen. In 2010 they were both 95 years old having written each other regularly since they were 11 years old. They met only once on their 57th anniversary.

No services are planned at this time and cremation was under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
