Steven J. Burkett, 58, of Ruidoso passed away Friday, July 18, in Ruidoso. He was born June 29, 1956 at Aurora, Illinois. He moved to Lincoln County on May 4, 1994 from Oxnard, California. He served in the Navy. He married Judy McClendon on January 10, 1981 at Las Vegas, Neveda.
He is survived by his wife, Judy 2 sons, Adam McClendon and Kiel Burkett a daughter, Kristen Mackewich his father and stepmother, John C. and Janet Burkett a sister, Jeannie Bolesky stepbrother, Kevin Jensen stepsister, Kristi Cole and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM with the funeral service at 3:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
