Steven Burden

Memorial services for Steven Cro Burden, 52, of Ruidoso and Lubbock will be Thursday, May 29, at 2:00 PM in Redbud Baptist Church at 8th and Slide Road in Lubbock, Texas with a family visitation in the Fellowship Hall after the service. A receiving of friends will be held Saturday, June 7, at 7:00 PM in the Aspen Room at the Swiss Chalet Inn. Mr. Burden passed away Saturday, May 24, in Ruidoso. He was born October 31, 1955 at Sherman, Texas. He graduated from Coronado High School at Lubbock in 1974. When living in Lubbock he was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for 26 years. He moved to Ruidoso in 2006 and was the Risk Manager for the Inn of the Mountain Gods and Ski Apache. He has been a member of the National Ski Patrol for over 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Christi of Lubbock; his sons, Stuart and Sean both of Lubbock; his parents, Nona and Russ Burden of McAllen, Texas; his brothers, Keith Burden and his wife Kim of Fort Collins, Colorado and Rev. Kevin Burden and his wife, Rita of Greenville, Kentucky. The family has suggested memorials to the Diabetes Association or the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
