Stanley Yowell

Stan Yowell, 79, of Ruidoso passed away Saturday, July 26, in Ruidoso. He was born October 1, 1928 at LaGrange, Missouri. He moved to Ruidoso in 1979 from Orlando, Florida.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, before entering the service he was a farmer and after discharge from the service he began working for Lockheed-Martin and retired as an electrical engineer having worked with the Pershing Missile System. He was a loving husband and father, kind and gentle soul and gave a lot of himself to family and community. He attended the Episcopal Church of the Holy Mount. He married Jane Tucker on April 2, 1955 at Canton, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; children, Brad Yowell of Ruidoso, Julie Yowell of Cerrillos, NM, Vicki Yowell-Wolfe of Edgewood, NM, Brian Keith Yowell of Missoula, MT, and Gina Lee Yowell-Cochran of Ft. Collins, CO.

The family has requested memorials to the Lincoln County Food Bank.

A small memorial service will be held at the conclusion of Sunday Services, August 3, in the Epsicopal Church of the Holy Mount.
