Sashay Mills

December 1, 1987 — June 20, 2024

The Creator has called Sashay Mills to his divinity because she was ethereal and we fully believe that as sick as this world is, her gift of having a supercharged soul is part of a plan we have no understanding of...yet. Sashay, inheriting her mother, Shamie Mills' traits of stepping in and making it all right again, did do us a solid, by knowing that, after her most harrowing but heroic battle with cancer at 15, took her ravaged body and created two magnificent beings, Memphis and Miles. These gifted children of ours have both inherited many of her God given resolute genes of boundless energy, never-ending efforts, and giving from a way-overdrawn benevolent well. So much of this kindness masked sacrifices that were never known but her health and well being were choices she made without the slightest wavering. Second only to her children, was her love for her brother Suede, and his son Solomon. Sashay is the true poster child of "giving til it hurts". And no one knew this more than her partner, Jacob Brown, and his children Mason and Allie. Sashay was kept buoyant by her "besties" and a community that loved her. Let's hang onto the belief that parts of our girl are still here and we can be ever so GRATEFUL that we were ever considered a part of Sash's orbit. Please hold her immediate family, Bernadeane and Bobby Bridges, Tahnee, Mystery, Michael and their children in your hearts. Sashay was always grateful for the never-ending support of her late father, Marlon Mills' Georgia family and especially cousin Jenny. In remembrance of Sashay, spread love and kindness as well as heed her brother's advice to LIVE!

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
