Sara Haley Gochenour Lepard

On April 17, 1993 God sent down one of His most precious angels to change our world. During Saras all too short time here on earth she made an impact on more lives than she could have ever known. She never met a stranger because from the moment she smiled at someone, they were enchanted for life. Sara has been described by many as not of this world. Her gentle and pure spirit showed no anger or hate, only love, forgiveness, and joy. Saras life was fulfilled not by money or possessions, but by the love of her adoring husband and her loving family. She had a passion and zeal for life and a love for nature, animals, and above all, her Blessed Lord and Savior. Though she was taken far too soon, she lived the kind of life that one could only dream of coming close to living. Sara was blessed to find and marry her soul mate, Mike Lepard, on July 21, 2012.

Sara is survived by her husband Michael Lepard of Ruidoso, parents Brendan and Audrey Gochenour of Ruidoso and Amy Gochenour of Ruidoso, In laws Frank Lepard, Diane Lepard and Darla and Rodney Sturgeon, her siblings Brianna, Jacob, Aidan, Jude and Sadie, her grandparents Jo Gochenour and Katherine Moore of Ruidoso, Irene and Harry Petterson of Ruidoso, and Linda Lepard of New Jersey, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Sara is joined in Heaven by her grandfather Clyde Gochenour, great grandmother Fran Jones, and her beloved child that we never met, but feel peace in knowing that they are together in Gods holy kingdom waiting for us all to be reunited again.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23 from 46 pm at LaGrone Funeral Home in Ruidoso and a celebration of Saras life will be held at J Bar J church on Monday, February 24 at 1:30pm.



In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Saras name to her most loved charity, Coyote Howling, or The Boys and Girls Club. Please keep Saras memory alive and continue her legacy by taking time to enjoy Gods creations here on earth and above all else, to love and live like today is your last day.
