Ruth Stroemer

No services are planned at this time for Ruth Mary Stroemer, 89, formerly of Ruidoso. She passed away Wednesday, March 26, in Alamogordo and was born February 27, 1919 in Peoria, Illinois. She had moved to Alamogorodo to live in the Aristocrat Assisted Living Center after moving to Ruidoso in the late 1960's from Albuquerque. She was a retired Army Major serving during World War II in the South Pacific and then in Korea as a M.A.S.H. Nurse. After moving to Ruidoso she worked in the surgical unit of Lincoln County Medical Center for over 20 years. She is survived by a nephew, Dave Stroemer and his wife Karen of Peoria, Illinois and many great nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by three brothers.
