Graveside services for Rudolph Darrell Ashby, 73 of Capitan, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday May 15, 2010 at Fort Stanton Cemetery at Fort Stanton with Military Honors.

Rudolph was born on September 19, 1936 in Princeton, Indiana to Rudolph Ashby and Helen Jones Ashby and passed away on May 10, 2010 in Ruidoso.

Rudolph was retired from the US Army, E7, after over 22 years service as a missile instructor. After retirement he worked with civil service for 13 years as a missile instructor to NATO. After service to NATO he was a school bus driver in Capitan worked at Billy the Kid Casino as a slot attendant. He also worked at WalMart as a greeter. Rudolph also had worked at the Ft. Stanton Hospital working with the Rehab Department.

Rudolph was a loving husband and father and is survived by his beloved wife Betty Ann, his daughter Tonia, his son Rudy and Victoria. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Jared, Brittany, Lisa Lee and her husband Noah Lee.
