Roxye Sheets

A memorial service for Roxye A. Sheets, 68, of Glencoe will be Thursday, Aug. 9, at 10:00 AM at the Simpson residence in Glencoe, NM. The address is 27756 Flores Canyon Trail off Hwy 70 between mile marker 277 and 278. Mrs. Sheets passed away Friday, Aug. 3, in Ruidoso. She was born April 12, 1939 in El Paso, Texas. She was a graduate of Burgess High School. On April 2, 1969 she married her soul mate, Thomas J. Sheets. She is retired from the Santa Fe public schools as a handicapped aide. Roxye always had an open door policy for anyone who would need a home and lots of love. She always lived the example of a forgiving heart. Roxye is preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Glennis Waide; grandson, Justin Ortega. She is survived by her husband, Tom Sheets; her twin sister, Sue Weber, sister, Jo Ruth Patterson and her husband Mike. Children, April Simpson and her husband Rick, Chris Shoppach, Randy, James, and Mark Sheets; grandchildren, Clifford, Diego, Trevor, Cameron, Chris, Nicky, and Orion. Not to forget all her loving inlaws, nieces, nephews and cousins. It is also very important to include her extended familyThe nurses, therapist, doctors and taff at Lincoln County Medical Center. Roxye, Our teacher of kindness and love has finally received her peace in the arms of our Lord Jesus. We will all miss her smiling face and outreached arms which held her special hugs and kisses.
