Funeral services for Robert A. Moeller, 79, of Nogal will be Wednesday, May 11, at 1:00 PM in the LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery in Carrizozo. Mr. Moeller passed away Saturday, May 7, in Albuquerque. He was born September 26, 1931 at Oak Park, Illinois.
He served in the Army during the Korean War, received his MBA from the University of Michigan, founded the Akron Chess Club in Akron,Ohio and worked for the Cornwell Quality Tool Co. and the R.R. Donley Printing Co.. He moved to Lincoln County in 1998 from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In Lincoln County he was on the Lincoln County Advisory Committee and PLURRAC. He married Susie on August 13, 1988 at Akron, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Susie two daugthers, Michelle Ratcliff and Cheryl Whitecotton and her husband Tim his beloved rescued pets and his Special Friends.
Pallbearers will be John Obermiller, Jerry Ligon, Jerry Grace, Dave Scott, Ray Dean and Peter Wolfe Honorary Pallbearers, Bob Vanderzee, Ed Schreiner, Joe Yun, Denny Freeman, Jim Rokesek and Jerry Beardsley.
The family has requested memorials to the VFW or your favorite charity.
