Robert Lucas

A memorial service for Robert F. Lucas, 71, of Ruidoso will be Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso. Mr. Lucas passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, in Ruidoso. He was born February 18, 1937 at Ashland, Kansas. Mr. Lucas was retired from the U.S. Navy serving during Vietnam and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He had moved to Ruidoso from Prescott, Arizona in May, 2005. He was also a member of First Baptist Church. He married Vivian on November 2, 1996 at Prescott, Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Vivian of Ruidoso; his brother, William T. Lucas of Tempe, Arizona; his children, Laurie Graves and her husband Dennis of Loveland, Colorado, Lisa Bennett and her husband Mark of Loveland, Colorado, Jason Graham and his wife Jennifer of Yuma, Arizona, Tiffany Parker and her husband, Ted of Yuma, Arizona, Heidi Lakey and her husband Matt of Owassa, Oklahoma and Tammy Willis of Elk City, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren, Dustin Lake, Tiffany Brown, Amy Lake, Andrea Bennett, Taylor Graves, Travis Graves, Jayden Trammell, Jason Graham Jr., Emma Graham, Julien Parker, Domenque Parker, Gage Lakey, Jordyn Lakey, and Ashlynne Lakey and 3 great grandchildren, Samantha Brown, Alexandra Brown, and Sydney Lake; and the families of Gene King and Tony McKee. The family has requested memorials to Gideon Bible, PO Box 188, Alamogordo, NM 88311-0188.
