He was born on april 29, 1941 to A.E. Chink and Lois Angela Beavers, who preceded him in death. He was the owner of Beavers Sand and Gravel, Ruidoso Ready Mix, and B B Ready Mix, which were started with his father A.E. Chink Beavers which was later acquired by one of his sons, Dusty Beavers, to continue the family legacy.

He loved showing off his town to visitors and friends. he would always take them on long, long rides, to scenic points and show the Beauty of this place and hoped a bear would show up as an added bonus.

Robert was a very active member and a great contributor to the Ruidoso community. Some of these include the construction of Ski Run Road and the expansion of Ski apache Trails. As well as his involvement in the development of the Ruidoso Gun Range, he was also a founding lifetime member of the Ruidoso Gun Club. Some of Robert's greatest passions were coaching, umpiring, and helping with concessions in the Little League organization. Robert was always standing on the sidelines, sitting in the bleachers or jumping up and down yelling encouragments to ALL the kids at several activities. Not to mention being a part of the first Men's Fast pitch softball team. If you couldn't find him at a sporting event he was sure to be at the Beavers Roping Arean.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Judy Riggs Beavers, and his cherished daughters, sons, and their families.
