Prayer service for Richard Carlson Kayitah Jr., 42, of Mescalero will be Monday, Dec. 28, at 6:00 PM in St. Joseph's Mission at Mescalero where the funeral mass will be on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Mescalero Cemetery.br brRichard passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at Mescalero. He was born September 7, 1967 at Mescalero and had lived there all of his life. He worked as a wildland firefighter for BIA and as a ski technician at Ski Apache.br brHe is survived by two brothers, Sheldon Kayitah and Keith Kayitah; a sister Ilona Williams; a nephew, Christopher Kayitah and a niece, Krystal Kayitah.br
