Rafael Rodela Sr.

Visitation for Rafael Old Grandpa Rodela Sr., 76 of San Patricio, will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 LaGrone Funeral Chapel. Prayer service Rafael will be Wednesday, 7:00 PM in St. Jude Catholic Church at San Patricio where the funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 26, 2012 with Rev. Al Galvan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Judes Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Rodela was born on May 4, 1936 in San Patricio, NM to Elijio and Martina Bartlett Rodela. He was adopted after losing his birth parents, Esabel and Concepcion Montoya. He lived his entire life in San Patricio, he worked in road construction for the New Mexico Department of Transportation retiring after 15 years to his home in San Patricio. Rafael was a very sociable man and a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. He was a very devoted member of St. Judes Catholic Church.

He is preceded by his parents, his wife, Mary Rodela in 1994. He is survived by his sons: Rafael Rodela Jr. and wife Mary of San Patricio, Franklin Rodela and wife Sandra of Ruidoso Downs, and Chris Rodela and wife Anna Marie of Los Lunas stepsons, Lawrence Chavez and Anthony Lucero, both of Tome, NM his stepdaughters, Lenore Lucero of Albuquerque and Yolanda Lucero of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Victoria of California his grandchildren, Denise Rodela, Christopher Rodela Jr., Victoria Rodela and Nicole Camejo great grandchildren, Love Camejo, Xavian Rodela, Tru Camejo, Maci Barns and Neci Rodela.
