Rafael Delgado

A Rosary for Rafael Nevarez Cunado Delgado, 76, of Carrizozo will be Tuesday, June 17, at 7:00 PM in Santa Rita's Catholic Church in Carrizozo where the funeral mass will be on Wednesday, June 18, at 9:00 AM with burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. He was born October 24, 1931 in Corona, NM to Rita N. and Marcos G. Delgado. He peacefully passed away at home in Carrizozo on June 13, 2008. He worked 7 years for the railroad. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Medic during the Korean War. He retired from Holloman A.F.B. after 32 years with Civil Service and continued working construction for an additional 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Ralph and wife Conni of Rio Rancho; son, Jimmy and Pauline of Alamogordo; grandchildren, Corey, Caitlyn, and Alex of Alamogordo and Mark of Roswell; sister, Jane Farmer of Napa, CA; brother, Tony Delgado of Silver City. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be in our hearts forever.
