Peggy Sue Scott

September 28, 1958 — December 3, 2023

Ruidoso

Peggy Sue Sensing Scott was born on September 28, 1958, in Jackson, Mississippi to Martha and Conrad Sensing. She passed from this life on December 03, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Conrad Parks Sensing, Aunt Eula Mae Eskridge, Aunt Katherine Ornelas, Uncle Tom Fuller, and Cousin Bobby Fuller.

She is survived by her husband Mike Scott; sons, Ryan Farmer and wife Julie, Paul Farmer and wife Andrea; sister, Sandra Faye Archibald and husband Greg Joyner; mother, Martha Ellen Goodwin; brother, Jerry Sensing and wife Barbara; niece, Sheri Parker and husband Guy; nephews, Adam Archibald and wife Molly, Travis Archibald, Terry Sensing, Timmy Sensing; niece, Susan Warden; Aunt, Wanda Fuller; cousin, Karen Fuller; grandchildren, Amber Farmer, Tristan Farmer, RJ Farmer, and Jaxon Wurm; ex daughter in law, Carlissa Thomas and husband Justin.

Peggy was a true people person. She would smile and compliment everyone, even strangers. She had a drawer of gift cards she would give away to friends and strangers alike. She kept in contact with ex-students, ex classmates, and ex coworkers from years ago. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and financial aid to whoever needed it, and she always did so with a smile. Peggy was definitely an animal person. Over the years, at different times, she had dogs, cats, turtles, a pig, horses, and her favorite birds, her beloved Bing Bong, Cowboy, and Bingsly.

She had a deep and strong faith in her heavenly father. She knew that she was on a journey to a better place.

Peggy made friends so quickly and so easily. If you were her friend, you were her friend for life. Peggy had such a big heart and never held a grudge. She always conducted herself with grace and dignity, whether in public or private.

Peggy loved to travel and spent so many years taking her students to Europe and enjoyed every minute of it. She will be missed by so many.

Peggy and Mike were married on August 11, 2018, after meeting for the first time in Ruidoso. They fell in love with each other and the Village of Ruidoso. They retired and moved to Ruidoso in 2019 and felt like they were “living on vacation” in their dream home in the resort village. Peggy loved the elk, deer, and wild horses that would wander through the yard. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
