Pauline Purvis

Pauline Purvis, 88, of Capitan passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019, at her home in Capitan.  She was born September 1, 1931 at Springfield, Missouri to Velma and Ord Daugherty.

She was a bookkeeper for several different businesses in El Paso and in March of 1995 she moved to Capitan.  She was a member of the Capitan United Methodist Church.  She married D.T. “Red” Purvis on October 21, 1949 at Las Cruces, NM.

She is survived by her husband, D.T. “Red” Purvis; a daughter, Karen Thacker of Levelland; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Stuart Purvis on November 18, 2015.

Her funeral service will be Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Capitan United Methodist Church.
