Patricia Wilkerson

Patricia Wilkerson, 53, of Capitan passed away November 29th in Ruidoso, NM after a long battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully with her husband David, her children Jeremy, William, Tara, and Michael, and her sister Michelle at her side.

Patricia was born February 19, 1959 in Clovis, NM at Cannon Air Force Base to Robert Charles Roy, a US Air Force Servicemember, and Wilma Widener.

Patricia was married to David Bryan Wilkerson on March 10, 1996 in Mertzon, TX. They moved to Capitan, NM shortly thereafter and have resided there since.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Robert Charles Roy. Patricia is survived by her husband David Wilkerson of Capitan, her children Jeremy DeShazo of Lubbock, TX, William Morris of San Antonio, TX, Bryanne Wilkerson of Conroe, TX, Tara Morris of Ruidoso, NM, and Michael Morris of Ruidoso, NM. She also leaves behind her mother Wilma Widener Patterson of Ruidoso, and sister Michelle Rene Cameron of New Braunfels. Patricia was known as Nana to the 6 grandchildren she leaves behind Kayleigh Alanna DeShazo, Tristan Brian Morris, Jackson Brian MorrisPadilla, Peyton Michael Morris, Sydney Elizabeth MorrisPadilla, and Kylen Erik Morris.

Patricia was known in the Ruidoso community as the owner and operator of Candy Bouquet. Patricia was extremely well thought of within the community due to her generosity, kindness, and sincerity. She won people over instantly with her beautiful and sincere smile, her wit, and her everlasting charm. She was loved by many and will be cherished forever by her family.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5th, at 3pm at the United Methodist Church in Capitan, NM. The family requests that donations to the United Methodist Church be made in lieu of flowers.

Rest in peace sweet angel and we will miss you immensely until we see you again in Heaven.
