Patricia Hughes

Graveside services for Patricia E. Hughes, 76, of Capitan and formerly of Albuquerque will be Saturday, Oct. 24, at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. Mrs. Hughes passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her home in Capitan. She was born February 21, 1933 at Springfield, Missouri. Mrs. Hughes was an accomplished seamtress and loved to hook rugs. She was a Champion of all animals. She moved to Lincoln County in 1986 from Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, Howard Hughes; two daugthers, Pati Cillessen and her husband Ed, and Chandra Ankeny and her husband Michael; three sisters, Betty Holley, Mary Virginia Johnson, and Emily Barton; grandchildren, Duane Cillessen and his wife, Erin and their son Caleb, Dale Cillessen and his wife Ashlee, and Tiffany Ankeny and her daughter Brooklyn; she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Ellen Hughes. Mrs. Hughes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Lincoln County, PO Box 2832, Ruidoso, NM 88355.
