Funeral services for Ruth Pearson Bundick, 89, of Alto will be Monday, Aug. 25, at 10:00 AM in the Trinity Fellowship Church in Littlefield, Texas with burial to follow at Littlefield Memorial Park. Mrs. Bundick passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, at her home in Alto. She was born Nola Ruth Harris on September 29, 1918 at Portales, NM to Ollie C. and Nellie Leah Moore Harris who both precede her in death. She married alva Lee Pearson on December 14, 1935 in Lamesa, Texas having four children, Bobby, Joe, Jean Nadine and Jan. The family moved from Lamesa to Salinas, California in 1943 and she worked in packing sheds on a farm. In December 1945 they moved to a farm near Fieldton, Texas, near Littlefield, and on Thanksgiving Day in 1975 they moved to Littlefield. Alva passed away December 5, 1976. Ruth was the cook in the lunchroom at the Fieldton Elementary School and drove a school buts. She later worked at the Fair Department Store in Littlefield from 1963 until July 1975. She lived in Littlefield until June 2003 when she moved to Alto to live with her daughter Jan Clevenger. She was a member of Praise Temple Church which later became Trinity Fellowship Church from 1975 until 2003. She was a member of Angus Church of the Nazarene. Ruth remarried on April 2, 1988 to long time friend O.L. Pete Bundick and he preceded her in death in June 1993. Ruth is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Jean and Bill Bechtold of Pagaso Springs, Colorado, Nadine and Orville Stafford of Alto, New Mexico, Jan and Lloyd Clevenger of Alto, New Mexico; daughter in law, Dorothy Pearson of Mineola, Texas. Her sister El Wanda Rogers and her husband Charles of Littlefield, Texas; sister in law, Claudene Pearson Wood of Del Norte, Colorado; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandson. Two step sons, Bill Bundick of Odessa, Texas and Johnny Bundick of Nogal, New Mexico.
