Linda Lou Rocha, "Ms. Lodi" was born to Debra L. Morgan and Fernando R. Rocha Sr. in Mescalero, New Mexico on December 2, 1975. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Ms. Lodi is survived by a daughter Sharon N. Moquino, her companion, Thomas Duffy; her parents Fernando and Debra; her grandmother Clarice Rocha; one sister Margaret Rocha; 5 brothers: Fernando R. Rocha Jr. and his wife Leslyn, Anthony Joseph Rocha Sr. and wife Paula, George Rocha Sr. and wife Kathryn, Terence Rocha Sr. and wife Janel, and Jared Rocha; 16 nieces, 13 nephews, 3 grandkids, several aunts and uncles, all of Mescalero, NM.
Lodi graduated from Tularosa High School in 1995, upon graduation she attended college at New Mexico State University-Alamogordo where she received an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, in December 2013. She worked for the Mescalero Headstart Program at both Mescalero and Carrizo Sites for 12 years as a lead teacher. Her life was working with her students, all of whom she loved dearly. She was well respected by both the students, parents and her co-workers.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Linda Lou Balatche-Magoosh, Gerald Magoosh Sr., and Ricardo Salas Rocha, uncles, Richard Rocha and Sherwin Magoosh, an aunt, Jacqueline Morgan; two cousins, Valerie Louise Mendez and Rachel Estelle Rocha. Lodi was loved very much and will be dearly missed by all she came in contact with.
Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2015 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The rosary will be Monday, June 29, at 6:00 P.M. at St. Joseph's Mission where the funeral mass will be on Tuesday, June 30, at 10:00 A.M. Buial will follow at the Mescalero Cemetery.
