Monte Morgan

Funeral service for Monte Morgan, 68, of Mescalero will be Thursday, June 16, at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ruidoso with burial to follow at Chihuahua Wells Homestead Cemetery at White Tail.

Mr. Morgan passed Wednesday, June 8, 2001 at Mescalero. He was born July 19, 1942 at Mescalero and had lived there all of his life. He was a retired Tribal Judge and married Viola Pesewonit on December 19, 1981 at Mescalero.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Morgan daughters, Jan Castillo, Ruby Morgan, Nettie Frasier, Earldina Botella, Sharon Pesewonit, Peggy Cleveland, Charlane ShantaCojo and Shannon ShantaAlvarado sons, Russell Rusty Shanta and Joshua Morgan 33 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
