Miriam Chino-Peralto

A Prayer service for Effie Chino-Peralto, 59, of Mescalero will be at 6:00 PM on Tuesday August 12, 2008 and a Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday August 13, 2008 at the Mescalero Reformed Church in Mescalero. Burial will follow at Mescalero Cemetery.

Effie was born on June 19, 1949 in Mescalero to Riley and Marjorie Shanta Chino and passed away on August 10, 2008 in Ruidoso. Effie loved to read novels and tend to her flower garden. She was a lighthouse collector and a loving mother and grandmother.

Effie is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Marjorie Chino, her brothers, Arvin Chino, Quentin Chino and Weldon Chino. She is survived by her husband, James Peralto of Mescalero and her daughter, Rylee Chino-Montoya and husband John of Mescalero. Effie is also survived by he sons, Gerren Peralto, James Oree Peralto and Hunter Peralto all of Mescalero. Also surviving Effie are her brothers, Riley M Chino, Berwyn Chino, Waddell Chino and Marlon Chino all of Mescalero. Her two sisters also survive her, Eugenia Jewell Yuzos and Rilynn Chino-Bob both of Mescalero. A special notice to her surviving cousin, Jennifer Dolan. Effie also has four grandchildren surviving her, Pierce, Aubree, Chloe and Jon Brooks Montoya.
