Michael Patrick Schuster

March 17, 1962 — February 3, 2025

Ruidoso

Michael Patrick Schuster left this world as we know it on February 3, 2025 at age 62. Born March 17, 1962 in Sisseton, South Dakota. Mike graduated from Roslyn High School and continued his education by obtaining his Bachelors in Economics and an Associates of Nursing degree.

As a registered nurse, Mike dedicated his career to our little hospital here in Ruidoso, NM. In his 33 year career as a nurse, he pretty much worked in every department at the hospital, but he loved the perioperative department. He loved his patients and his work family. In 2022, Mike received the "Nursing Excellence Award in Perioperative Nursing" for the state of New Mexico.

Mike was a very energetic, kind, and giving person who loved the outdoors. He always was the first in line to offer help to anyone. He loved skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and most of all he loved walking with his beloved dogs, Jake, Ozzy, Eden and Hope.

Although Mike is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his special friend and love, Minnie Singleton; her daughter, Jordan Perry and husband Ryan; son, Derek Perry and wife Chanley; brothers, Jeff Schuster and wife Bridgette, Rick Schuster and wife Terri, Randy Schuster, and Ken Schuster; sisters, Linda Karst, Carol Von Schenk, Janet Miller and husband Dwight, Elaine Ingalls and husband Terry, and Alice Schmitz and husband Mike; grandchildren, Emmett and Emory Perry; fifteen nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; P.J. Schuster and so many other friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Delbert Francis Schuster; and mother, Frances Elizabeth Snaza.

Memorial will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at 238 Yellowpine Rd, Ruidoso, NM. Memorial will be informal.
