Michael Barela Sr.

Michael Barela, Sr, 62 of Carrizozo passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his home. He was bom September 26, 1954. Michael was retired from the State of New Mexico highway department.
He is survived by his wife Henrietta (Sissy) Griego, his children, sons, Michael Barela Jr. and
his wife Sylvia, his son Chris Barela, Casey Barela and his wife Morghan, Mathew Barela and
his wife Katie and daughter, Michelle Barela; his mother Bella Killingback and her husband Walt;; brothers Gilbert Barela Sr.
and his wife Gwendlyn, Marcos Barela, sisters Irene Otero and her husband Grover, Virgie and
her husband Manuel Carabal, Josephine Barela, Marie and her husband Paul.
And his 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and numerous nephews and nieces and
cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Marcos Barela Sr.,

Michael loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, friends his family .hunting, fishing , the outdoors, and helping people.

His funeral mass will be Saturday, December 3, at 10:30 A.M. at Santa Rita's Catholic Church in Carrizozo.
