Mecca Aldridge

Mecca Aldridge, 82, of Ruidoso passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born September 25, 1932 at Loving, Texas. She taught school in Lubbock for over 20 years before moving to Ruidoso in 1979 where she then taught with the Capitan Schools from 1980 until retirement in 1997. She was also owner and operator of Canyon Cabins in the Upper Canyon.

She married Ray Aldridge on September 26, 1954 at Littlefield, Texas and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1989.

She is survived by her children, Lori Pritchard of Lubbock, Randy Aldridge and Rayla McMakin both of Ruidoso; a brother, Billy Tom Grant of Littlefield; 3 grandchildren, Jarrod Pritchard, Jeffrey Pritchard, and Morgan Hawk.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 10, 2015 in the First Christian Church at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family has requested memorials to the Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship Fund.
