Matthew Gonzales

Matthew Brian Gonzales, 30 years old, was born on December 21, 1990 in Ruidoso New Mexico. A precious gentle soul has gone to be with his Heavenly Father. He died on March 23,2021, in a tragic unforeseen motorcycle accident in Alamogordo New Mexico, where he had been living and working.

Matthew was a true blessing to our family. He had a joyful heart. He was loving and thoughtful to everyone. He touched so many people with his beautiful smile and kindness. He helped anyone who needed help and put others before himself. He was grateful and forgiving towards others. He was dedicated to his family and always stayed connected with them no matter where he was. Matthew loved and cared for his family very much. His bond with his grandparents Felix and Inez Gonzales was undeniable. He always made sure no one was left out. Matthew displayed compassion and empathy towards others.

Love and Joy Perfected, John 15:9-12, "As the Father loved you; abide in My love. "If you keep my commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you".

Matthew attended the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Phoenix AZ, where he received his license to work on motorcycles, which lead him to work at the Honda Shop in Alamogordo. Matthew enjoyed teaching his cousins how to ride four wheelers and dirt bikes. He liked to have fun, laugh and joke around and had a great sense of humor. He liked to dance and was a big fan of a local band, "HomeGrown Boyz". He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by, his mother, Cricket, his grandparents Felix and Inez Gonzales, his sister and family, Sara Gonzales, Leroy Ramos, Blu and Elisha,his father, Frank “Poncho” McTeigue and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and friends.

Services will be held at Saint Jude Catholic Church in San Patricio, NM.  Rosary will begin at 10:00 AM, Funeral service to follow, Burial will be held at the Gonzales Family Cemetery, located at 166 Tully Lane, Glencoe NM.
