Mary Shanta

Mary Ruth Shanta, 70, of Mescalero passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 in Alamogordo. She was born February 2, 1943 at Mescalero and had lived there all of her life.

She enjoyed going to the Elderly Center, loved doing crafts and making people laugh. She loved her children and grand children. She attended St. Josephs Mission.

She is survived by her children, Bertha Shanta, Jerry Shanta, Marline Shanta, and Sandra Shanta brother, Joseph Shanta Jr. 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The prayer service will be Thursday, May 30, at 9:00 AM in St. Mission at Mescalero with the funeral mass to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Mescalero Cemetery.
