Mary Sedillo

Mary Ann Sedillo, 71, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on May 6, 2020.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her father Daniel Ortiz, mother Sofia Ortiz, brother Dan Ortiz, and sister Mary Alice Gonzalez.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Sedillo, Sr., of 49 years, married on June 6, 1970 in Carrizozo, NM; daughter Victoria Sedillo; son Eddie Sedillo Jr. and wife Isela Sedillo; son Ernest Sedillo; brother Steve Ortiz and wife Debbie; Grandchildren Strait Sedillo, Patrisha Martinez, Rocio Hernandez, Tessa Martinez, Estrella Sedillo, Alejandro Sedillo, Andrea Sedillo, Cielo Sedillo, and Sofia Sedillo; Great-Grandchildren Aiden Molina, Rylee Molina, and Ellie Molina.

Mary Ann was born on June 4, 1948 in Bernalillo, NM, to Daniel and Sofia Ortiz. She was raised in Carrizozo and graduated from Carrizozo High School in 1966. After getting married, she moved to Roswell with her husband, Eddie. They lived there until 1978. Eddie and Mary Ann made their home at "the ranch", north of Capitan. Mary Ann was a cook most of her life, working at restaurants in Capitan and Ruidoso.

Mary Ann's greatest treasure was her grandchildren. She loved having them visit her. She valued the time she spent with them.

Private family services will be held at the Capitan Cemetery in Capitan, New Mexico.
