Mary Nunley

Visitation for Mary Lee Nunley, 71, of Ruidoso will be Tuesday, May 24, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 25, at 10:00 AM in the First Christian Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso.

Mrs. Nunley passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born June 19, 1939 at Cloquet, Minnesota to Eleanor and Robert Kuitu. She was a former member and officer of PEO, she was a cheerleader at Crockett Junior High and Odessa High School served on the New Mexico State Board of Nursing for six years, was an elder at First Christian Church and was very active with her children in their activties as they grew up. She moved to Ruidoso in 1965 from Perryton, TX, attended the Community United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She married L. Ray Nunley on December 8, 1956 at Odessa, TX.

She is survived by her husband, L. Ray Nunley of Ruidoso children, Robin LeAnn Nunley of Capitan, Donald Ray Nunley of Payson, AZ and Lonnie Edward Nunley of Mesa, AZ two brothers, John Robert Kuitu of Hobbs, NM and Richard Paul Kuitu of Odessa, TX 6 grandchildren, Jeffery Michael Paulson, Colton Ray Nunley, Grayson Amores, Lauren Tyler Smith, Kaitlin Hazen Nunley and Kelby Rayellen Nunley and one great grandchild on the way.

The family has requested memorials to Community United Methodist Church or First Christian Church.
