Mariano Juarez, age 70, passed from this life on March 27, 2024, in Roswell, New Mexico. He was born on July 28, 1953, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to the late Benito and Zulema Juarez.
Mariano proudly served our country in the United States Army. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, softball, basketball, fishing and dancing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Toni Treas-Juarez; sons, Mariano Juarez, and Matthew Cook; daughters, Elsa Juarez, Topaz Juarez, Sarah Juarez, and Jana Cook; grandchildren, Javier Juarez, Mariano Juarez III, Xynazia Cook, Christiana Pena, Christopher Pena, Ismail Lapaz, Devon Cook, Damien Cook-Kazhe, Marvin Cook-Kazhe, and Theron Lapaz; great grandchildren, Arituane Juarez, and Leon Kazhe; brothers, Francisco Juarez, and Dibrell Juarez; sisters, Elizabeth T. Juarez, Olga Juarez, and Tina Juarez; and a niece, Sherry Juarez.
He is preceded in death by Cecelia T. Juarez, Brenda Hart, Dorothy Juarez, Lorraine White, Virginia Juarez, Jimmy Munoz, Benito Juarez Jr., and Thomas Juarez.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at the Mescalero Assembly of God Church. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 pm at Fort Stanton State Veteran's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with Mariano's services.
