Macrina Richardson

Rosary service for Macrina Sanchez Richardson, 90, of Ruidoso Downs will be Sunday, Oct. 17, at 6:00 PM in St. Eleanors Catholic Church where the funeral mass will be on Monday, Oct. 18, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the Capitan Cemetery.

Mrs. Richardson passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her home. She was born September 9, 1920 at Reventon, New Mexico and had lived in Lincoln County all of her life. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, canning and loved to listen and dance to all kinds of music. She also loved all kinds of animals and she was a country girl.

She was a loving Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, her family was her love and life. She is survived by seven children, Delma Romero of Ruidoso, Lydia Vegara of Albuquerque, Carmen Robinson and her husband Rock of Valley View, Texas, Granville Richardson of Ruidoso Clifford Richardson and his wife Donda of Capitan, Janette Ortega of Capitan and George Richardson and his wife Carrie of Capitan a sister, Lucy Telles and her husband Albert of Alamogordo two brothers, Baldmar Sanchez of Tulare, California and Preciliano Sanchez of Roswell 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Richardson and Benny Sanchez, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

She married Andrew Richardson on August 8, 1949 in Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1998.
