Louis Franklin Casteel II (Frank) left this world May 11, 2023, in his beloved town of Ruidoso, New Mexico. Frank was born on October 19, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth before furthering his education at Kilgore College and the University of Colorado, earning a degree in business administration. Frank went on to have a long career in the food industry with Sysco, Ben E. Keith, and Refrigiwear.
Frank was a loving husband to his wife Judy and a supportive stepfather to Judy’s children. He adored his family and especially his step grandchildren. Frank loved spectator sports, particularly basketball and football, spending countless weekends cheering on his favorite Texas teams.
Frank was a jokester, laughed frequently, and always had a smile on his face. His happy personality brought joy to everyone around him. Even when confronted with questions he didn’t know the answer to, he responded with humor: “Don’t get me to lyin’!” Frank loved spending his retirement years in the beautiful mountains of Ruidoso.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Judy Casteel; sister, Dorothy Casteel of Fort Worth; stepchildren Melanie Jeanes-Neary and Mark Neary of San Jose, California, Christopher Jeanes and Robin Jeanes of Leonard, Texas, John Jeanes and Marcia Jeanes of Arlington, Texas; nephew, Ron Cheek; niece, Jennie Pinkerton; and four step grandchildren.
