Lorene Baroz

Lorene Evelyn Baroz, 78, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at her home in Carrizozo, NM surrounded by her family. She was born March 26, 1940 in Carrizozo, NM to parents Salomon G. and Ramona V. Sanchez. She married Ralph Baroz, Jr. August 22, 1959.

She worked for the Carrizozo Elementary School for forty-one years and retired in 2016. Of these forty-one years working at the school, she gained much respect and love from all her students, parents and teachers, as she did with the community and dear friends. She will be forever remembered by all.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Baroz, Jr. of 60 years and her four children, Patricia Morgan and husband Jeff of Ruidoso, Michael Baroz of Albuquerque, Brenda Sanchez and husband Javier of Las Cruces and Karen Powers and husband Greg of Midland, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Josh Vega, Sonya Zamora, Dyllan Morgan, Brittany Montano, Salomon Baroz, Danielle Baroz, Justin Sanchez and Ashley Powers;

along with five great- grandchildren, Aliyah Vega, Niyah Zamora, Joseph Baroz-Benavidez, Monique Baroz-Benavidez and Kailynn Vega.

Pallbearers will be, Josh Vega, Salomon Baroz, Justin Sanchez, Dyllan Morgan and Joseph Baroz-Benavidez.

Funeral mass will be Saturday, August 18, at 10:00 A.M. at Santa Rita Catholic Church with burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery in Carrizozo
