Linda Brown

Funeral services for Linda Brown, 65 of Ruidoso, will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A reception will follow at KBobs.

Linda was born on December 26, 1944 IN Artesia, New Mexico to William David and Iris Marie Coffelt Scott and passed away on July 9, 2010 in Ruidoso. Linda attended grade School in Carlsbad and was a 1962 graduate of Carlsbad High School. She also attended Texas Womens University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Records degree. She had also attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She was a member of the National Medical Records Association. Even before graduating from high school she worked part time for St. Frances Hospital in Carlsbad. After Graduating from College she went to work for Presbyterian Hospital system working in Artesia Clovis, Carlsbad and retired as director of Medical Records at Lincoln County Medical Center. In the past she had worked part time at the Ruidoso Vet Clinic because she loved dogs. She loved to work puzzles and watch all kinds sports, especially NASCAR.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and a son: James Wesley Brown in 1993. She is survived by her sister, Flora M Daszczyszak of Carlsbad, 2 nephews, David W. Cosgray of Carlsbad and Scott A. Cosgray of Alamogordo. She is also survived by I uncle, Joe E. Coffelt of Cloudy, OK, 2 cousins, Delmer Coffelt of OK and Cynthia Carriger of Ohio, numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.
