Letitia Balderrama

A funeral wake for Letitia Balderrama, 75, of Mescalero will begin Wednesday, March 18, at 6:00 PM at the residence of Mrs. Balderrama, 170 L.B. Lane Highway 70 East. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 19, at 10:00 AM in the Mescalero Reformed Church with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Mrs. Balderrama passed away Sunday, March 15, at Mescalero. She was born January 5, 1934 at Mescalero to Eloise and Scott Lee Antonio who both precede her in death. She has lived at Mescalero all of her life. She was the head cook at the Mescalero Rehab Center for over 30 years and attended the Mescalero Reformed Church. She is survived by 4 children, Charles Shanta Jr., Terry Balderrama, Hilda Mithlo, and Alta Branham; brother and sisters, Willeto Antonio, Nina Tortilla, Regina A. Quanchello, and Bonnie Jane Hubbard; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Magooshboy; brothers, Dewey Shields and Harold Shields.
