Funeral mass for Lenora Coyote Kinzhuma, 52, of Mescalero will be Thursday, July 31, in St. Joseph's Mission at Mescalero with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Lenora passed away Monday, July 28, at Mescalero. She was born January 10, 1956 at Cortez, Colorado and was a member of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. She moved to Mescalero in 1972 from Towaoc, Colorado. She was a dispatcher for the U.S. Forestry Lincoln Zone in Alamogordo and had also worked at the Mescalero Boys and Girls Club. She is survived by her children, Wade Kinzhuma, Francis Kinzhuma, Sierra Morgan, Shantal Shanta, Monet Shanta; brothers and sisters, Winona Chimal, Laura Coyote, Teresa Coyote, Phillip Coyote Jr., Marty Coyote, Christopher Coyote, Shawn Pena, Matthew Pena, and Rodney Pena; 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
