Larry Rawson

Larry Rawson, 56, of Nogal was found Sunday, August 2, in the mountains of Nogal dying from injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident.

Larry was born January 14, 1953 in Putnam, CT to Blanche and Richard Rawson. He graduated from Putnam High School and then went on to forestry school at Paul Smiths in the Adirondacks of New York. He then went to H.H. Ellis Technical School in Danielson, CT. He moved on to create a business of his own called L.E. Rawson Electrical Supply as well as John Deere dealership in Thompson, CT. he then made a decision to move to Ruidoso where he established Home Improvement Services, his electrical and reconstruction business. He was a master electrician and master cabinetmaker.

Larry loved the ourdoors and the mountains of New Mexico where he called home for 15 years.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Caitlin E. Rawson of Herkimer, NY; his parents, Blanche and Richard Rawson of Thompson, CT; two brothers, Alan and his wife Kathleen Rawson of Putnam, CT and James and his wife Donna Rawson of Thompson, CT and several nieces and nephews.

His family and his many friends will sorely miss Larry.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 8, in Putnam, CT.
