Kevin Cojo "Coach"

Kevin Cojo, age 58, passed away June 10, 2023, in Roswell, New Mexico. Kevin was born on September 14, 1964, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to the late Leno and Dolly Cojo.

Mr. Cojo was a proud family man. His greatest joy in life was spending time surrounded by his loved ones. He was a dedicated father who was always present to support his children at their athletic events. He was always their number one fan, never missing a game. Kevin inspired many children as a little league football coach. In his spare time, Kevin loved listening to music and camping. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Kevin proudly served his community as a BIA officer, conservation officer, and call center operator at Inn of The Mountain Gods. When not working or coaching, Mr. Cojo stayed busy as a handyman around his house always taking pride in his home.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lena Cojo; sons, Lance Cojo, Spencer Cojo, Cody Cojo, and Koy Cojo; daughter, Kathryn Cojo; grandchildren, Lani Cojo, Ezekiel Cojo, Ameila Cojo, Seth Kazhe, Raleigh Kazhe, Angel Kazhe, September Cojo, Miley Cojo, Daniel Cojo, Heath Largo, and Heidi Largo; brother, Jody Cojo and wife Jodi Cojo and family; sister, Elizabeth Bearshield; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Mr. Cojo is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Yazza.

Services will be held 10:00am Friday, June 16, 2023 at Mescalero Baptist Mission Church in Mescalero, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Mescalero Cemetery.
