Katherine Graham

Kathy Renee Hazel Graham was born on July 12, 1958 in El Paso, Texas. She passed from this life on a beautiful blue sky morning August 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving husband Dale, her children Joshua, Dooley and Nici, her mother Evelyn Unie Hazel and her brother Kenneth and Alan and Mark Hazel. Many friends were there and family members as well, when God said it wastime for her to come home. She went very peacefully after a valient and hard fought battle with the terrible cancer.

Kathy was married to Dale Graham on April 15, tax day 1977. She is survived by Dale after 35 years of a wonderful marriage. Her sons Joshua Dale Graham, Waylon Dooley Graham of Ruidoso Downs NM, and daughter Nichole Hanna of Austin, Texas. Her mother Evelyn Unie Hazel of Ruidoso Downs, NM, brothers Kenneth Hazel of Carlsbad, NM, Mark Hazel of Amarillo, Texas, and Alan Hazel of Ruidoso Downs, NM.

She had 2 grandchildren Jacoby I beat cancer Kane Graham and Jayli Lorae Graham of Ruidoso Downs, NM. Many, many nieces and nephews and brothers in laws and sisters in laws.

She was preceded in death by her father Ed Hazel and brother Gorden Skip Hazel and neice Mindy Lynn Hazel.

Kathy spent the last year and half regardless of the disease riding behind Dale on their Harley along with friends and made many trips all over New Mexico and into Colorado. She never wanted to let the cancer get her down.

Kathy was loved by a multitude of friends and her close friends knew her as QOFE. She was a very loving wife and mother, friend and had a very big heart and special place for Christmas for Kids with Cancer that she participated in the last few years after grandson Jacoby came through his battle with cancer and recovered. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.

Graveside service will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Ruidoso Hondo Valley Cemetery.
