Joseph Martin

Memorial service for Joe Martin, 50, of Ruidoso Downs, will be Saturday, Jan. 3, at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs with inurnment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Martin passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008. He loved his family and was very proud of his daughters, he was a genuine all around fix it man with a passion for cars, antique cars, and collectibles. Although born in Colorado, Joe spent the majority of his life in Ruidoso and it always held a special place in his heart, along with the many friends that he had there. He had worked as a pressman at the Ruidoso News and as a technician with Allen Mechanical. He is survived by his wife, Li; 4 daughters, Deanna Seaux, Krystine Powell, Katherine Martin, and Kendra Martin; two grandchildren and another on the way; his mother, Ruth Brown; brother, William Martin, two sisters, Diane Jones and Nancy Martin and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Ruidoso Dance Ensemble, 1713 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345. The dance studio provided Joe the means to enable his daughters to explore their dreams. The family would like to give special thanks to the LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso and the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs for their kindness and patience.
